Love of literature and reading helps children set the tone for the remainder of their academic careers. By providing an environment that fosters a love for the language arts, PBCA supports children in this ongoing goal. During our Library time, children develop the following skills:
- Develop the love of reading
- Recognize different types of books (fiction, non-fiction, etc.)
- Learn about and discover their favorite author
- Check out books to share with family and friends (elementary)
- Participate in story-telling games
- Experience activities that support the books being read
